I’m so sad that it’s over for now! I love this set of characters and adventures!

Much better than book 5 in my opinion but still a lot of unnecessary awkwardness at times (in my opinion of course). The new characters are fun and I like that they are the focus rather than the same old group. It was really fun to read and I'm interested in more of course.

Magic 2.0 is back! This was on par with the joy I experienced reading OTBTW for the first time. I hope this series continues. It’s a great blend of fantasy, nostalgia, hacker culture, and Scott’s quirky humor.

While it starts off strong, this is clearly the weakest of the series. It was interesting watching the kids learn about their parents, they didn't do anything until the very end. If that is a spoiler, you are not paying any attention from the beginning.

Most of the book? Funny and cute but repetitive and a little annoying

Philips monologue, which not so subtly called out Trump and the insanity of the current state of American politics?

Probably the second best book in the series. It introduces new fun forms of magic, new villains, new characters as well as progressing existing character development.

I love Scott Meyer's humor, the magic programming world and Luke Daniels' narration. I can't get tired of any of those. But I feel the story was much the same as with other villains like Jimmy or Todd and there was nothing new in this book but new youngers heroes. It's still really entretaining.

Meyer does a great job of writing consistent time travel stories, but I feel like at some point, he'll have finished painting himself into a corner.

Still, though, it was nice seeing new characters in the world!
