Sweet, not much of a mystery. Kind of a cozy about garden club ladies during the depression. Lots and lots of detail about canning, and cooking rubharb, and going to the beauty shop, but not so much mystery. A saccharine-sweet story about old ladies. No sex, no cussing, even Angela Lansbury might doze off in this one.

I enjoyed reading how real history may have affected people in small towns. A great read!

Sadder than the rest. Not sure I would have had the fortitude to survive Prohibition and the Great Depression.
