Wow. So Blackbird did not pull punches in this issue. The revelations in this issue were…unexpected, but honestly? It fits. It completely explains everything, including why everyone has been so cagey lately.
Have I mentioned that I’m completely in love with the artwork for this series? It’s absolutely amazing. This cover is one of my favorites. I think. It’s hard to decide when they’ve all been so lovely! Also, did I mention that there were more cats in this issue than normal? I love it! They’re all super cute.

Wow, I wish every issue was this packed with material because it was so amazing! That ending was unexpected by me and it really does drive the story so much closer to conclusion. I can't wait to read the next one.

This is probably the best issue yet. I loved the revelations we get and it’s starting to make sense. Blackbird is definitely my favorite comic at the moment. Everything, from the fantastical elements, to the story and the art style is perfect. I am curious to see what the sister has to say in the next issues.

Genuinely didn't see that one coming! This series is getting better and better with each issue, and I love that even though it's supposed to be for her own good, we're not made to see the mom and sister as good people. They might have had good reasons, but they're shitty people who fucked up a teenager's entire life and refuse to take responsibility for what they did. I truly hope it stays that way, I'm tired of stories were the wronged hero forgives and forgets. One can move on without excusing anything, and I love that - so far - it feels like that's where the story is heading.
