I used to love Poe as a kid but now as i grow and read more i just find most of his work kind of dull. I mean his work is still impressive and intersting. Mabe i just have distaste for it now because i read it too much.

I was first introduced to Po at summer camp, Camp Susquehanna in NE Pennsylvania. It was a sleep away riding camp and as our bedtime stories the counselors read either Tolkin or Po. I loved those days of Summer in the mountains and the reading of Po to us campers as a bed time story. The Fall of the House of Usher, the Tell Tale Heart, the Cask of Amontillado, and Never bet the Devil Your Head are still my favorites, but almost anything Po wrote is worth the read. The travel logs are a slog, especially as we know, by reading the introduction and Editors Notes that Po did don leave the Eastern Seaboard. That the travel logs are based on others writing with him as editor. SO a bit of a slog. Over all a fantastic compilation of Po's work with a wonderful introduction and Ed notes.
