I loved this book. It was fast-paced and moved along nicely. I found that I couldn't put this book down and managed to finish it in two days.

Can I fall in love with this series any further?

Yes, yes, I can.

When I first read the series, I thought "Oh, boy! Another Twilight doppelganger." But the second book ripped me off that notion, proving me wrong how this series is further from Twilight series. This is way better than Twilight in my opinion.

So, here is my summary feedback:

This book isn't as gripping as its predecessor, Crescendo, though I loved the character development in this book. Nora isn't the naïveté anymore. She's taking matters into her own hand, and being a teenager, she is trying her best to do the right thing and make the right decision. I hate when trolls on GR accuse her of being stupid. How intelligent and sage were you when you were 16-17 and were met with circumstances like she did?

Anyway, now for the sprawling review:
Things I loved!

•Nora:
She's far better than Bella in my opinion. While Bella was still clumsy and dependent on Edward in Eclipse, here Nora isn't much. Sure at first, she physically relies on Patch to save her (the damsel in distress), but given she's a mortal with threats everywhere, she was supposed to be vulnerable. But emotionally she isn't. She keeps on trying to regain her memories back and though she stumbles several times, she keeps on trying. I like her transformation and would gladly defend her from the trolls for her sake.

•Patch:
I never had a crush on him like I did with Augustus Waters, but I love his character. As the series deepens, his love and dedication for Nora deepen too. His sweet and touching declaration of love and affection for her are so heartrending. I thought given Nora's amnesia, he'll be absent for around 70% of the book. Becca Fitzpatrick proved me wrong by keeping him absent only 25% of the book, thus making me a happy fan.

•Hank as the evil Nephelim:
I hated him so much! In the last book, Marcie got on my nerve but this time, she's more tolerable. Hank keeps getting on my nerve and I hated him using and abusing Nora's mom for his evil intention. The prologue tore my heart apart when he made Patch give up his wings!! *sobs*

•Other Characters:
Frankly this book was mostly about Nora, Patch and Hank. Scott Parnell entered but didn't get much spotlight other than a few big scenes. Though I loved his character much more than in the previous book.

I missed Vee!!! Ashsnsgjddhgsd!!!

I missed her so much! After the last book, I wanted her to be a real human being and my best friend instead of Nora's. I genuinely hope she'll be present throughout the final book.
I hated Nora's stupid mom. So putty in Hank's hands, ugh!

•The romance!
Burned and seared my chest!!! It's so good to see Patch and Nora back together, making out and teasing each other and making me an emotional puddle by their declaration of love. I wanted them together so much! Ugh! The final book better give me a sex scene between them, though most preferably as a hint that they consummated their relationship 😍

•Lastly, this book made me a bigger fan of the series. Though it had lesser stakes and gripping consequences than the previous book, the romance between Patch and Nora made it up to me.

Will be reading the next book tomorrow (if not tonight, 😉)

Soo I really wanted to love this book. I fell in love with Hush, Hush and I wasn't so keen on Crescendo. But I really wanted to have this book kind of like a redeeming book.

I was just so frustrated that after Nora lost her memory, her mom and friends would not tell her anything. LIKE ANYTHING. They were even lying to her! It kind of seemed like a 1.5 book instead of it being the third in the series.

I'm enjoying the series, but I can't quite pinpoint what bothers me about it. At any rate, given the other 2, I'd say this one might be my favorite of the 3, but it's close to book 2. It does have some similarities to Twilight (what doesn't these days?), but I can't say they're particularly annoying. I still don't particularly like Vee, though I do enjoy her loyalty to Nora, and Nora still sort of bothers me for a heroine, but gosh darn it if I just don't like Patch/Jev to pieces!

I found this story interesting with the whole memory loss. I enjoyed the mystery of what Hank was up to also, but the rest of it sort of just passed the time. It was good to see Scott again. He's not particularly my favorite, but he's an interesting character. Everyone sort of has their shades-of-grey partisans so it's interesting to see how they're all coming together.

Looking forward to the finale!
