I think 2 stars is a lot more than what the book really deserves

Really liked this next book in Mary Higgins Clark mystery series Under Suspicion. It's listed as the first book in the series on Goodreads, but really it's the second following "I've Got You Under My Skin." This book continues the story of Laurie Moran and her family along with handsome attorney Alex Buckley as they try to solve another mystery for Laurie's TV show Under Suspicion. I enjoyed the mystery because I wasn't quite sure who the murderer was until a few chapters towards the end.

It was an amazing story! I thought I knew the ending from the very beginning and in typical Mary Higgins Clark fashion, she threw in an amazing twist! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading mysteries.

4.5 stars.
I actually have read 2 of Marry Higgins Clark's books before and really injoyed kiss the girls and make them cry in particular.
And when I saw this book and read the synopsis, I was totally in.
And seriously, everything this author writes is a complete perfection.
I can say that she is one of my most favorite thriller authors of all times.
Her works just keep you definitely on edge through the whole story.
This book was really phenomenal and it left me wanting to read more of the series.
This was such a spectacular ride, and I really enjoyed all the amazing plot twists untill the end.
Also I really loved the little touches of suspense which added much greatness to the story.
However, the beginning was kind of slow paced a little bit, but overall I extremely injoyed it

"Never judge a book by its cover, especially when the book is a person, was the lesson."

Oh, I think I'm going to just adore this series. I really liked the first book, but this one really did it for me. I loved the connection between Laurie and Rosemary, and how in the end the only thing that really matters about this show is finding details to bring peace to someone who otherwise would have never had it. When rosemary lost her daughter, she seemed to be the only person who wouldn't give up on finding out who killed her Susan. Nor would any mother, I think.

I loved the speech in the end when Laurie relates her own story about her murdered husband to only allow Rosemary to see even a tiny bit more why she helped her. Why she chose to bring forth cold cases and attempt to solve them.

And this story also had a bit of a love story for Laurie inside of it as well. And Tommy in the end, being to excited about it, it was the true tipping point for me. This was such a good book. The plot was so special. The two separate storylines were interesting. And I absolutely did not want to put it down. Can't wait to grab the next one!

A solid 3 star if I've ever read one. I didn't really like any of the characters but the twist ending was decent and the storyline was fresh enough to stay interesting. It wasn't a book I couldn't put down, so it was great for reading while I was waiting for things. I wouldn't recommend it on its own but I would pick it above, say, Carrie by Stephen King. Some random upsetting themes but nothing I wouldn't expect from a murder mystery novel. It was a pretty quick read, too.

This was a really good mystery. I figured out who the killer was, but it took me almost as long as the main characters to do it. I liked the characters. I liked the plot. Worth a look.
