This was a fascinating & harrowing read. It tells Dianne's story, not just of how she joined the Manson Family, but of her life leading up to that point, going from what seemed like a stable family to drugs & her parents dropping out of life to be part of the hippie counterculture. Her time as the youngest member of the Manson Family is disturbing & it is easy to see how people fell under his spell.

a friend gave me this book for my birthday cause they know how much true crime fascinates me. i haven't read much on manson, but after reading this i can't wait to get my hands on helter skelter. a great insight to life with manson and how he knew his power and used it to his own advantage, fooling those around him into thinking his word was godly and he loved them. i would like to read books by the other girls and see how they felt about being part of the murders and Manson after all that happened.
