The rhyming is sometimes inconsistent, there is very little resolution, and there is no recognition that the girl's over-the-top scheme had a negative effect on other people.

Very reminiscent of "Stuck" by Oliver Jeffers, but not as successful.

A cute and quirky bedtime story about a girl reaching for a star to keep in a jar. Lots of great words for children (or adults) to read or hear. The little comments from the people in the stack are funny, too.

Reviewed from a library copy.

Fun yet relaxing at the same time. The rhyme scheme flows nicely, though it is  occasionally stilted by the page-turn.

This was a fun story, but for some reason it didn't excite me.

I love fantastical picture books that are a bit weird just to be weird and this fits the bill perfectly. Plus, as mother to a Luna, I'm a sucker for books with characters named Luna. I do think it would be better though, if it ended with the second to last line instead of adding on that last bit. Overall, its a fun, light read with wonderful and detailed illustrations that invite exploration.

Cute and wacky funny. Would suggest to fans of Mrs. McNosh, Falling for Rapunzel, or No Jumping on the Bed.
