I like this short stories, especially now that I finished The One and wanted more!!!

My favorites are 'After the one' (obviously because I love Maxon and America's relationship so much! ❤ ) and the 'Scenes from Celeste' this one really surprised me!!!

it was interesting to see other people’s perspectives, though some of them *cough cough* aspen *cough cough* really annoyed me.

It was very interesting to hear this story from different perspectives. I especially enjoyed hearing from Maxon's mother, the Queen's, perspective, and that was probably the highlight of the book. However, I felt the content seemed to be very repetitive, seeing as it was just a bunch of different characters telling the same story over and over again. Sure, there were some new sub-plots but the main plot was all pretty much the same, and I got tired of hearing that, sort of.

Until now I didn't know I was not truly finished with the selection series but I loved every bit of this!
I mean it was basically like going into the lives of different people in real life. You could even feel the connection especially about the "where are they now" chapter. Oh and the art, beautiful.
The only problem I have is we didn't get a peek at King Clarkson's life. I mean I'm not asking that we have pity on him but I think we should have been given the opportunity to know what went on in his head, what he thought other than everyone's opinion of him.
Anyway absolutely adored it! Can't wait for more books from the author.
And just so we are clear, I think this is the last book of the series.

• loved seeing scenes from different characters perspectives and getting to understand more about them and their personalities and motives

• I wish i had maxons perspective on some scenes during the selection instead of before and aspens honestly made me frustrated with him because he was so caught up in and couldnt let go of caste labels. I felt like he was feeding america these lies the whole time. But those are my only complaints. Overall very good and loved having more added to the series that made it feel even more complete

I really don't care to hear about every single character's perspective on things. But, I didn't like the majority of the characters in this series. If you really liked the series, I would give it a try.
