Whoa...there sure was a lot done in this volume. If I wanted to be a real cook, I would definitely have to try some of the things they cook in here...since I don't though, it gets a little tedious. I'm really surprised by where this one ended, I thought it would have been sooner but I'm eager to see how this plays out.

Fun fun fun. I continue to enjoy this series and I'm amazed that this formula (shokugekis, ridiculous foodgasms, info dumps on food preparation) hasn't gotten old for me yet. The villain in this arc is lame, but I love how it's made Erina more of a focus. Watching her deal with "commoner" living continues to be amusing.

The volume ends on a cliffhanger (as they typically do) but lucky for me, I already had volume 19 checked out from the library. c:

What I loved about this volume is the admiration from the opponent for Soma’s skill which leads to the invitation to ask Soma to join the Central. Also, at least there is a slight twist for the battle with the Central in this volume and unpredictable twist makes the story more interesting.

I think Ryo is actually my favorite, so this volume made me happy (although, I agree Lara - too many foodgasms! Especially with the young, innocent looking characters. :/) I'm excited to see where Soma's next shokugeki goes!
