This is the story of my sons, one of whom reads everything very fast and gets very excited about it, and the other of whom picks up a book after he's been convinced it'll be good, and is subsequently plagued by the first child, who bugs him about whether he's gotten to the part with the roulette table yet, shaking with laughter as he spoils the ENTIRE dramatic denouement.

Not really. It's the story of a little boy who moves heaven and earth to find a peaceful spot where his reading will not be interrupted by excited birds and fauna eager to share their favorite moments. And wait til you get to the dinosaur at the end!

I was lucky to get an F&G copy of this book from the author at KidLitCon 2015. Leafing through it, I was particularly impressed by the way the artist, Isabel Roxas, wove the little boy's flight into the very pages of the book - both the book WE are reading and the book HE is reading. I love her combination of digital collage with the lovely rough texture of pastel on paper.

When I commented on how well the art and story work together, Minh told me that Let Me Finish! is one of those rare picture books that was proposed and published with the artist and author already signed on. Nice job!

This book would be perfect for the beginning of the year to show students how NOT to give a book talk!

Super cute! Surprise ending (but I won't spoil it for you!), a bit of a metacognitive feel, great illustrations. The kind of book that makes you smile while reading, and at the end.

Cute book-my kids like the message about not spoiling a book and referenced it several days later.

Perfect book to share with my students in August. A nice reminder that no one likes someone who spoils a story!

This is a charming picture book about a young reader who desperately wants to avoid spoilers. The story conflict amused me very much, and I enjoyed the meta twist. I won't say anything else about it, though, because SPOILERS.

Cute story about a boy loving books and hating spoilers. Everyone hates spoilers. The best part was the illustrations; adorable, colourful, expressive style. The story was so-so, not much going on. Great cover design.

Cute! I loved the mixed media illustrations. And gotta love a story where the protagonist just wants to read!
