Back in the late 1800s, a female's reputation meant everything. Spoiled heiress McKenna Frasier took life and people for granted until her world collapsed. Disowned, disgraced and down on her luck, she returns to Montana determined to make a life for herself as the town's teacher. Past and present catch up with her and along the way she learns a few lessons on life ... and love.

I enjoyed reading this book. I found it to be a fun, light read. The characters were realistic-people I could imagine actually having lived in that time. While I don't know anything about the coal industry, the descriptions gave me enough knowledge to understand the situations without going over the top. Overall, a good, light historical romance.
