It's equal parts swoony and suspenseful, and it has solidified my love for this author's works.
It's not for the faint of heart, though. There are a lot of scenes where things get too graphic so be wary of the trigger warnings.
Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to read more from this series and author!

This was surprising for me.
I liked the story the torture was awful and the sex scenes I couldn't get into not because they were bad I just didn't want to read that with the underlying story going on.

This story is not for everyone. There are some rather graphic descriptions of abuse by the villain which could be a trigger for abuse victims. In all honesty, I rapidly skipped over those parts after the first scene. I doubt that I will continue with the series.

3.75 stars. This was a little slow to star, but it picked up before too long. It was a sweet romance with a bit of angst and a bit of danger, and the spice was nice. I'd be interested in checking out the rest of the series.

It was an enjoyable read. The last 50% of the book felt a bit rushed. The male lead seemed a little too controlling in my opinion.
