There’s a thin line between saving the world and murder! Light crossed that line. The lengths a person will go to not lose, to win at all costs and evade being looked at as evil is astounding. He is but a teen. Cocky bravado and all.

If you want to rid the world of evil people why do you have to do it in a day, so close together and all the same way? Makes it easy to get caught and for people to catch on.

I do enjoy how smart Light and L are. And that they are similar in more ways than one. The death God is there as a spectator, commentator and deal maker

'Death Note' is incredibly original. This was actually the first manga I have ever read and it was so cool (the pages and comic boxes you read from right to left and back to front, a little workout for the brain). I loved how tense some of the scenes were and how calculating the main character was. The plot kept me on my toes the whole way through and on a few occasions caught me by surprise. The only complaint I really have is that Light is really annoying at the beginning and in my opinion ridiculously irresponsible with his new found power. Over all, this was a complex and intriguing manga. I would totally recommend this!
