This essay collection covers a wide range of topics, examining pop culture, hair, dating and internalised misogyny and racism. Her writing is very brave and the personal stories are brutally honest. I am a bit conflicted about it overall because although she covers some really important issues, she also makes some sweeping generalisations and sometimes contradicted herself from one essay to the next. She sometimes covers a lot of subjects in one essay and it wasn't always easy to follow her thread. However there were some stand out essays which definitely made it worth the read.
Graphic: Sexism, Misogyny, and Racism
