"I might be broken, Una...But I have never felt more fixed than when I'm with you."
Yeess!! I knew I'd love this book! Of what I saw of Cillian in the first book, I just knew. He's a psychopath with this dark sexy edge but he's really protective of his family. π₯Ί
Una was a badass and she also cracked me up. Being the daughter of Seamus O'Connor, the Kildare family's enemy, she's been through shit. She's sent by a ghost of her loathed deceased father's follower Apostle to kill Cillian. But her kinky dark desires take over π€
No legit π€£ her mind was always in the gutter. But I don't blame her, being near Cillian would do the same to me. The man was spicy π
Maybe heβs a monster and a psychopath. Maybe we all are, a little. But maybe two broken pieces can fit together to be whole again.
I loved how both Cillian and Una had a dark side that called to each other. And Una actually made Cillian's demons get quiet π₯Ί the way he latched onto Una and become so protective of her π€π€ They were a perfect match. Their energies were met so seamlessly.
It made so such lovely spice! I think this book in this series really brought it. π it's a bit kinkier than the others with CNC, breath play, edging, and impact play.
I love the Kildare-Drakos family antics. Such a loud bunch. They were rightfully wary of Una but it was so touching how the ladies got over it quick to bring her in and make her feel part of the fam. The fam that Cillian is so protective of π₯Ί
There were a few editing errors I noticed though that were glaring. Of course most didn't impact my reading too much but there definitely was a moment where I was lost because the wrong name was used.
And the final climax of the plot? Phew got the heart pumping as always! Jagger Cole doesn't mess around with putting his characters through hell for a bit from the three I've read. I liked that it wasn't a conflict between the couple but more so an external force. And you bet I guessed it π

This is a good mafia book with some spice (πΆοΈπΆοΈπΆοΈ/5)
I am not found of the FMC because instead of rising, I thought she was more collapsing. Perhaps it was on purpose regarding her history. Either way, I did not connect much as the book progresses.
