I don't know why I didn't love this, I just didn't. I've read many far better stories from Goyer and Johns respectively, and I usually love Pacheco's art, but this just left me feeling kind of 'meh' overall.

They JLA/JSA are meeting for their annual Thanksgiving get together when suddenly, President Luthor is attacked. Racing to his defence, several of the league members begin behaving in a strange ways, attacking their teammates and fermenting chaos among the general populace. Can the remaining Leaguers and Society members, backed up by their reserve members, figure out what is going on in time to save the day.

I really liked this book. The team up between the JLA/JSA is very nice, as you can see where different characters were inspired by (ripped off) others. But it's best attribute is that it is a very good representation of Black Canary. She is a leader in this book who is used to taking charge and others are used to following her. And that alone is worthy of a star or two.

This was a fun volume and tells the annual JLA/JSA crossover.

What happens when on a get together some team mates starts behaving weirdly only for us to find out seven deadly sins have taken possession and so its upto various teams of heroes to find the answer to this mystery and well save their teammates and protect the world as we have them face off against Surtur, Typhon, Dr Bedlam and the main culprits Despero and Johnny Sorrow and their evil plans. Will they be able to rescue these heroes and protect the world?

And what do they learn from it? This was good and like has the hallmarks of classic mystery and whodunnit and I liked that aspect of it. Simple, short and sweet and doesn't take long to resolve. Plus the art is okay for the most part and I love the scenes of Clark and Alan together. Just great stuff all around.

This was a lot of fun. It looked great, used the character well and the story really moved. I'm a fan.

I've been wanting to read DC comics for a while, myself being more used to Marvel. A friend lent me this one so I could be acquainted with both the JLA and the JSA and all those typical DC characters. The book is quite interesting, integrating some of the characters' backgrounds, the interaction between the teams and the seven deadly sins into one quick read. The main problem I found with this comic was precisely the speed at which the story progresses. I believe this would have been a great graphic novel if the author would have let all of it happen slowly, letting the reader notice the characters' behaviour, their adaptation to all that trouble and the sinful personalities developing and acting longer. Other than that, I think it was a good starting point for me and all in all a very engaging story.
