A messy and beautiful story about dying, grief and life in general. Sometimes life is messy and for once we have a short book where the author isn’t afraid to show it.

Absolutely gorgeous sections on dealing with grief. My cheeks are wet with tears from the last few chapters. Read the whole thing in one sitting, a good, nice quick read! ❤️

I have not cried like this in a very long time.  I am not sure why I picked this book up on the day before my birthday, but I did and while it was the saddest book I have ever read it was also the most honest look at love in its many forms. I am going to my birthday dinner with puffy eyes.

This book just may not have entered my brain at the right time. I had a hard time finding the characters’ interactions with one another to be believable. There were some humorous bits, so it isn’t without good elements, but just didn’t pack the insightful or emotional punch that I had been hoping for when reading it.
