I loved the flashbacks - I love learning more about our girls. Awesome tie-in to an awesome show.

Evidently this book is based on a tv series that I have never heard of; and being that the book gives no background, I was pretty lost on the first part. After I realized what was going on, I was bored. I won't be continuing this series. The plot seems interesting, but the execution wasn't great. I just don't see myself wasting time on reading a volume 2.

For me, this was the best Orphan Black comic yet. The background information was very interesting; I think we all want to know what made Rachel who she is today. I can't wait to learn more about the newly introduced clone, Veera, and I can't wait till November to read Orphan Black: Helsinki!

For a tie-in, the content was spot-on. But if you're a fan of the show, there's not much new information except in the last 2 issues. Looks like future comics will have more new stories.

Some retreading of the events of season 1 (maybe a little of season 2, too), but a decent continuation or gap-filler.

Definitely not something that can be picked up by someone who hasn't seen the show, but it provides some really nice insights into the characters.

2.5* I absolutely love Orphan Black, and sadly the comic pales in comparison. The depth and complexity of the show doesn't come across in the comics. I think they just didn't have enough time in each issue to get both character development and plot that is displayed in the show. As an avid fan of the TV series, I 2qa hoping this would provide more insight and information not provided in the show. This was more of a comic version of the first season of the show, which is okay, but I think if I hadn't seen the show, I would be very confused.

I'd read the issue for Sarah awhile ago but finally picked up the trade to read the rest of them. Really glad I did, because I think the issues for the other clones are even better, particularly Helena and Rachel's.

I love how this book fills in some holes and has new revelations that may very well make their way into the show, since it was written by the show runners. Definitely a must-read for any Orphan Black fan.
