A compelling and quite creepy murder mystery featuring detectives who are themselves somewhat mysterious. Clearly bits and pieces about who they are and why they're like that are going to be doled out over the course of the impressively-long series.

This read like I was watching a crime show, somehow a mix of Hannibal, Sherlock, Luther and other crime series around - the pacing felt really similar to these; and I loved it. Thrilling murders, with your not-exactly-typical grumpy detective, I was glued to this book. Only the descriptions bordered sometimes on excessive - I do not need to be told that Yoon's eyes are dark in three different ways in ONE sentence. Apart from that, very entertaining.
