I loved the twists and turns in this one. Every chapter made me want to keep reading and find out what happens next.

I love Auren's character and feel she's getting stronger and developing with every chapter. It feels easy to relate to her. Similarly, with Rip, his character emanates through the pages, and you already feel connected to him.

I really dislike Queen Malina and find her so tedious to read about, so I wasn't a big fan of her chapters.

It was a really intriguing read, and I love the world of Orea.

Soooo much more than I imagined. The first book didn't do much for me, so I didn't expect the second to either but it was actually interesting. It was a recommendation from a friend and although some of the reveals were a little obvious the ending left me heading to Kmart to buy the next instalment
Just like that I'm sucked in to another YA novel series

The pacing of this series could have used more work, because book 1 and book 2 are very obviously meant to be one book. Having said that, the tension really ramps up in book 2’s portion of the story and I immediately downloaded book 3. This is a really entertaining and imaginative dark romance retelling of King Midas. Some trigger warnings: sexual slavery, Stockholm syndrome, gaslighting. So far this story has been very dark, but you can how the heroine has improved mentally and psychologically, and I assume in book 3 she’s going to “own her shit”.

The first book was a bit too much insanity, but Glint was an amazing sophomore. Everything felt settled and yes I could not stand Auren most of the time, I enjoyed this very necessary awakening. Rip was dragging her by her edges and I was here for it. The whole crew really put in work to wake her up. Excited for the next book!
