En conclusión, está relectura me ha recordado una vez más, los buenos personajes que son Sydney y Adrián, lo buena historia que tiene la serie y que, una vez más, no puedo esperar para leer el tercer libro.

My one critique was Sydney's obsession with her weight (calorie and sugar intake) and looks (compared to supernatural beings??) didn't age well and it was cringy to read. At first I thought it was the product of a book written so long ago in YA. BUTTTT toward the end, Adrian actually confronts her about her eating disorder, basically, and puts her situation in perspective and reassures her that her differences are okay, and that he is worried about her. I honestly did not expect it to be acknowledged as a problem in-narrative and I hope this means Sydney will start a healthier relationship with her food and body image. And stop comparing her looks to freaking vampires. *eye roll* Sydney, you just can't do that. You are human.

Despite this book being mostly build up it was very enjoyable. I love the characters being more fleshed out and the drama of everyday life. The last couple chapters get heated so I’m excited for the next book!
