A great short

In this spin off novella we meet Niall and Tobin. Niall has brought a house on Witch hill with the intention of turning it into a bed and breakfast, his contractor Tobin is working for him on restoring the house to its former glory, Niall comes in to contact with some angry spirits, some of the women killed during the witch trials who are not happy that he is there. The guys from CCP help out.
This enjoyable read is a good, enriching addition to the Cold Case Psychic world.

I *so* wanted to love this one, and it started off really promising, but it ultimately didn't work for me.

This was a bit longer than most of the other shorts, and plot-wise, it defintiely felt more developed. Unfortunately, the relationship aspect was not great. It started off wonderfully, but then, instead of just letting the story be about two blokes who just met, have insane chemsitry, and decide to date and have sex, the author thinks that what we really need is for them both to declare their love for one another, despite the fact that they've known each other for two weeks. It was insta-love at it's worst, TBH, and was SO unnecessary! You can have a HEA without marriage and being in love! The promise that they're dating and will fall in love after, you know, knowing each other longer than two weeks, is enough to satisfy readers. So instead of an enjoyable read, I was WTFing so hard and the random love confessions that I couldn't take the rest of the book seriously.

UGH AND A HALF.

Didn't care too much for the characters but the underlying story was interesting, and I enjoyed the parts relevant to the Cold Case Psychic series.

what you expect from the series.

Spooky ghosts, instant attraction with love close on the heels. It was a bit short for depth but a fun read.

I'm loving these spin off books from the Cold Case Psychic series. We get to meet even more great characters and more of Salem.
This story gives us a little of everything with romance, history, mystery and character growth.
Though the romance happens at lightening speed for Niall and Tobin, it takes a while to start and is definitely helped along by the story. The two men each have their own recent personal history affecting them but an obvious attraction jumps off the page and it's easy to be caught in the romance.
But Pandora is fantastic at keeping our attention with the mystery plot as well as the character development. I'm finding what is included in her stories just as good as all of the other parts, all working seamlessly together to give us a great story that you can't help but enjoy.
This could be read as a stand alone but I'd highly recommend reading the series as it gives you insight into the setting and relevance of Tennyson and Ronan for when the pop in to the story.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review
