I read this book so quickly, just couldn't seem to put it down. It really did remind me of what it felt like to go to school, the pressure of boys, teenage dramas and everyday life. Renee and flo seem to be just what they both needed, having someone to understand what it's like to come from difficult backgrounds. It made my heart heavy everytime Renee kept her emotions to herself, I'd wish she'd open up. Really good read, wish Renee wouldn't of got involved with Julian, didn't like that part of the story as much, but apart from that couldn't fault it

Love the dynamic between the two main characters and how we see their friendship deepen and grow at their school and outside of it. Recommended if you and a slightly dark and adventurous book of two high school students in a 'despite the odds' blossoming friendship.
