I have read a few books about fictional Nigerian people written by Nigerian authors.  I was excited to see a new perspective of Nigeria that was in the modern day. We follow 3 friends, two still living in Nigeria and one who lives in the U.S They are all reuniting in celebration of a wedding. But we get more background and development around the three adult friends then we do about Destiny or Dele. This was a descriptive novel and I loved the effort put into brining the ladies to life. The ending though felt wrapped up too quickly and I was expecting more … oomf more drama. Seeing as how this is a debut, I’m hopeful the author has more to show us down the line.
