I'm a nosy person, and love looking at what other people keep with them (I love "what's in my bag" type things, whether it's about a purse, or a suitcase. I love 'em), so this seemed especially interesting.

Most of the chefs don't cook much at home, so it was interesting to see what did make the cut, and there were some sort of specific thing that many of them had, like umbeoshi sauce, chipotle tabasco, and sriracha, which was interesting to see. Each profile has a short 1 page bio of the chef and what restaurant(s) they're affiliated with, then a picture of the fridge and annotations. They then each have a couple recipes on the following pages, so this book is part cookbook, part nosy dive into others' kitchens, and part chef biography.

Two things that struck me as I was reading it, though: 1) how few women were in it (out of 40, maybe 5 were women) which is an indictment of the food world more than the book itself, and 2) the chefs all used so much plastic in their fridges.

A quick read, definitely not serious, but interesting. Check it out if your library has a copy, but it's not worth buying, in my opinion.
