"I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future."
A timeless classic by Dickens that should ideally be read by a fireplace on a cold winters night. The central theme of the novel is kindness and compassion. When one's nobler aspirations fall one by one, it's serves good to remember that mankind is one's business.
A Christmas Carol takes the reader through the pains of regret, the opportunities of the present and a caveat of a bleak future unless acted upon the present.
Having lived a destitute childhood, Dickens does a marvelous job of describing the lives of the poor in those days. Some may even describe his writings as "Dickensian" (wink wink).

Just wonderful. A true reminder that life is too short to be grumpy and sour. Don't take people, experiences, and opportunities for granted. It is never too late to have a change of heart.

One of the best stories to read in the holiday season. This time I opted to listen to the Audible version read by the incomparable Tim Curry. I’m pretty sure this will get another listen before the Christmas season is over. A personal all-time favorite.
