an incredible ending to a beautifully crafted series. the worldbuilding, the history, the characters & their motives were just so beautifully done. so many things I was able to put together a few chapters before their reveal because of how detail this world was created. I also loved the omnipresent narrator in front of each chapter - I had an idea of who it would be but was totally wrong on how we got there. I feel like Elend got his chance to shine in this book, and Spook really excelled too. Vin almost felt secondary, but I think that’s just because so much was going on and her plot was split between her pov & Elend’s. also really grew to like Sazed here. my only complaint was a bit at the end I didn’t *love* but I get that it had to happen. curious to see how the world evolves in the second trilogy and what is referenced centuries later

Spoiler
I was so ready to give this book 6 stars if I could I loved it that much but vin’s death just isn’t what I wanted 🫤 I don’t mind that she died it was just so anti-climatic for who she was

4) Sazed
5) Elend

Personajes secundarios que me gustan:
1) Brisa
2) Allrianne
3) Cett
4) Demoux
5) Ham

This book does a good job of wrapping everything up, but I know that I missed things on the first read through. Knowing the ending during a re-read would be enjoyable. I’d pick up on twice as much.

I’d have to re-read the series, I feel, to really get that “wow” factor that some people had. (Though sometimes I think this genre of books is diluted with terrible series and novels—anything remotely competent usually gets overwhelming praise).

I also think the ending is corny—but it’s a good book and a good series. I may change my view on a re-read.

It’s better then the second book, but worst than the first.
