How do you review a book like this? Anne’s diary entries are funny, profound and heartbreaking. Reading her dreams for the future whilst knowing her fate was difficult to get through. Seeing how Anne made the most out of her situation in hiding was inspiring, an important read.

I visited the Secret Annex shortly after finishing this on the plane. Re-reading as an adult, I was really captured by how funny, sassy, and clever Anne was as a writer. I found it fascinating to see their daily life and how the residents of the secret annex learned about what is happening in the war. So much of her (forced to grow up too fast) wisdom is equally relevant today. 2018 Pop Sugar Reading Challenge: A book that is also a stage play or musical

I read this book several times! Anne is a hero among young women--the life & place she lived in in such a riveting time in history. She was intellegent & spirited. Inspiring.
