--a little girl uses her imagination to solve the problems caused by her imagination.
This is the first chapter book I've found that works for my younger daughter (who has lots of imaginary friends and likes bathroom words). A great "thank you" to my niece, who introduced me to this series.

** the first time I read Dory, I enjoyed her.... but when I read it with kids... I loved her! Loved her imagination, loved her imaginary friends. I had the opportunity to meet Abby Hanlon last year and I was so impressed learning all of the thought she puts into these books giving readers what they need to be supported while reading these books.
Cute transitional chapter book. I love Abby Hanlon's illustrations.

Creative, precocious child and her imagination and interactions with her older siblings. Great new series for those 2nd/3rd graders ready for chapter books.
