This book is technically 6th in the series but it takes place before the others, so I read it first. It was a cute novella and a good way to start my 2023 reading challenge.
One of the flaws of the mmc is his competitiveness which leads to a problem but it isn't the sole focus of the story.

DNF. Couldn't get into this book. I know that this was technically the prequel, but I figure if I didn't like this one I may not like the others? I don't know maybe I'll give it (or the other books in the series) another shot it the future (if it maybe shows up on tik tok again)?
