This is so cheesy and has so many plot holesā¦
For example, arenāt they supposed to be on a work trip? There was no work done on this trip! They go to a castle and thatās where most of the book takes place. And in the end they all just decide to stay in Scotland?! What about their business in New York? Did they just abandon it???
Next, these men are basically breeders and thatās the whole 3rd act conflict. She overhears them talk about ābondingā with her and she gets upset because she thinks they only want to be with her to get her pregnant because there are no female dragons and honestly I felt the same way. But by the next chapter thereās no discussion about that. She just forgives them and is back with them??
The rest of the books in the āseriesā are standalones and tbh Iām kinda bummed we donāt continue following these characters because thereās a lot of frayed threads in this story that I want answers for and I have a feeling that if I read the other books Iām not going to get my answers: like home girl has powers and thatās BARELY explored.
If I get bored or need a palate cleaner I might pick up the other books in the series for a quick read (bc this novella was less than 200 pages) and I did get a good laugh out it but I donāt feel compelled to immediately read more of this world.

Ā Content Warnings: sexual situations, miscarriage, toxic relationships, homophobia, biphobia, cheating, and confinement.
Love the premise of this...though I would have loved a little more for the introduction to a series.
The spicy scenes are fantastic but...as a fantasy lover I really wish we would have explored the lore/history of this world more. The times where we do learn feel extremely rushed and short.
Definitely plan on delving further into the series and hopefully getting more of a feel for the world that I'm desperately craving. š¤š½Ā

Honestly, it was definitely steamy in a good way, but the character interactions were just ickā¦There was a lot of dubious consent and mind fuckery, which everyone just shrugged off. The heroine was spineless and the āheroesā were manipulative, domineering and toxic.Ā

Easy and very quick read. Great, well written spice with MM action throughout. Well written with a great take on dragons. It did leave me with a lot of questions at the end - another books worth of questions.
If your in it for the spice then it is on point as long as you love MM action which I do.
But the story does have holes which will annoy me, I went to download the next book but it's about a different couple so I'm not sure my questions are ever going to get answers. But spice wise- it is well worth the read.

As I put it to my book friends, 70% smut, 30% plot, but in a good way that will leave you wanting more plot
