This book has many colorful examples of sketchbook pages of the everyday activities. A draw your day to get you rethinking items and events. Overall a God book for someone into color, pen, and watercolor. No instruction on techniques just a general guide of how to make your own sketch journal

Won't be starting a sketch journal but fun to see someone else's process

Obviously a lot of love went into this book but it was kind of a "now draw the rest of the owl" book. With the author being an artist and illustrator, the artwork was rather intimidating and the author is rather easy about "practice and you'll improve".

So reader beware, unless you are acutely aware that the artist / author has about 30 years of experience in creating, this book will make you feel miserable and inadequate.

Very, very introductory. If you already keep a journal just skip this. The illustrations are nice, though!

I was discouraged by a mean-spirited person so many years ago that it's taken me 25 years to come back to creating art. Most recently, I've begun dabbling in doodling, drawing, and watercolor. Like others, I also started following the author on Instagram and am inspired to take on a daily practice of drawing my day. Taking pleasure in the everyday is an indulgence I can savor. This book is open-hearted and encouraging. I recommend it to anyone with even the slightest inkling of drawing. Start your daily practice :)
