I love all the Rina and Peter books so this is not an exception to that. If you love Faye Kellerman you wont be disappointed in this story.

Seriously. A strong MEH.

I was bored a lot of the time. The last chapter was torturous. I missed Rina. The mysteries had potential but felt phoned-in.

Just... meh.

This was a wonderful detective novel. I had never read anything by Faye Kellerman before and this was a library book. I will be looking for more of her books.

A plane carrying 40 odd passengers crashes into a residential area of Los Angeles. Lieutenant Peter Decker is called to help at the scene and hopes, as others do, that terrorism has nothing to do with it. It’s reported that Roseanne Dresden was a victim of the crash - she was a flight attendant on her way to work in San Jose but there is no official confirmation of this. Her stepfather and mother contact Decker and ask him to investigate as they’re convinced her husband has done something to her as she was seeking a divorce. When the last body is cleared from the site it becomes clear that they were right and Roseanne wasn’t on the flight as the body is that of a young woman who was killed nearly thirty years ago. Decker and his team end up working both cases and are amazed to find a connection between the two. I’ve read some of the Decker series by Faye Kellerman before and really enjoyed this one. Kept me guessing from start to finish.

I like all the Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus books. I think I've read them all.

I enjoyed the book; however, I did not particularly like the way it ended, seemed to be lacking something.

This is the first of the Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus series I've read. I thought they mystery was great, I didn't guess the solution until nearly the very end.Perhaps Kellerman does this in all her books, but the only thing I found incongruous were the occasional educational bits on Judaism. While interesting, they broke me out of the story and didn't seem to advance the characters or the mystery.
