The actual story is really fascinating, but unfortunately the author is clearly too close in proximity to make any meaningful insights into the story. Plus, the organization is slightly confusing.

True crime, frat edition. I don’t miss all of college.

this would’ve been better as a long form article; it surely did not need to be a book

As someone who has grown up in NC and participated in Greek Life around the same time as the boys in this book, this book felt like a shot of nostalgia. Even with a majority of people requesting anonymity, I felt like this reporting was thorough and chock full of detail. It was a teeny bit hard to keep all of the names straight sometimes, but overall, great storytelling.

It was interesting enough but pretty redundant. It could have been two pretty decent Vanity Fair articles.
