This was such a lovely book to read 🥰 I needed something uplifting and hopeful and found this on a list of books labelled light-hearted reads; they weren’t wrong but they weren’t right either 🥲
Having to go and grapple with Carl’s death, Jalecia’s declining mental health and addiction, Poochie’s health challenges and so on were immensely difficult and not something I expected to read!
However, in saying all that in the spoilers, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved seeing Lorentha and the others’ character development. I’ve started to see now that aging isn’t such a bad thing, and that it really isn’t all downhill from here! ✨ I would definitely recommend this!
