This was so easy to figure out who the other mrs was.    The ending was crazy and a bit much.   Since I was doing audio, I sped it up quite a bit.  It dragged on and on.   I also felt the main issue of Sadie was not fully explored or even explained.  Many holes.   Could have been better

The twists and turns this author takes you on as you read her novels is just incredible. I had no idea how anything was going to connect until the end.

It was fine. Most of the book was honestly just frustrating. A lot of shit about how she can’t possibly communicate with the people around her out of fear so the plot drags on for ages. The “twist” is obvious from like 1/10 of the way through it, but you’re still made to suffer the rest of the book before Sadie realizes it. Also super tired trope, very sick of mysteries using this trope. incredibly long read for a boring payoff that anyone with a brain would’ve known from 20 pages in. And Sadie makes no moves to help herself she’s constantly keeping secrets for no reason, you’ll wish she died.

like that is a snooze. We’ve been over how it’s a misrepresentation of a disorder that is hardly if ever diagnosed. Very disappointed to see it appear in this book.

Fast paced and overall good story. It's been a while since I read a book where I didn't really like any of the main characters. It was fun trying to figure out which of them were really bad and why.

Towards the end of chapter 39 a pet is threatened and killed with a knife. It is building up rather slowly, so you're able to sense and skip if necessary.

I thought I had it all figured out and I partly did, but no the ending was a big surprise. It’s well written and the ending is much better than I expected. The book covers very difficult topics (be sure to check trigger warnings).
