It's a wonderful book. The prose is beautifully lyrical and as far as retellings go, it's engaging and plays on the narrative of Circe perfectly. It's heart wrenching and uplifting, and by the end you feel just how much Circe has grown. This is definitely the better of Miller's books that I have read, I would recommend this over Song Of Achilles in a heartbeat. It's a must read as far as I'm concerned.

if i could give this book more than 5 stars i would, because it was perhaps one of the most beautiful books i have ever read. it’s been so long since i have read such a good book. it captured all emotions so accurate; longing, fear, heartache, betrayal, loneliness, and above all, love. the language, writing and the description of the book was absolutely flawless, a piece of heaven. it was a magical read. divine. sorrowful, and joyful in the simplest of ways. it was so touching seeing a woman that was scorned and hated for so long find herself and her place and her voice in the world. circe, witch, titan, goddess, strong and witty, thoughtful and fierce. i loved seeing her in her solitude, the way she lived free and savage on her island. i long for that. i also adored the parts where she described the people that meant to her, especially her son. the strength and hardships of motherhood and the unconditional fierce love for her son was written so exquisitely it made me ache for motherhood even though i never do. honestly, i am full of awe and wonder at the masterpiece that this was. *sigh*
