I really debated if I should just DNF this one after
Walt and Vic have sex, he's very awkward about it afterwards and Vic's reaction is literally:

["How about I make it easy for you? We'll just call it rape. I raped you. There. Do you feel better?" [...] "And if you don't get dressed I may do it again.

I really begin to loathe the objectification of and casual sexism about every (in Walt's assessment) attractive woman (read: she's most likley younger than him and has long legs) he encounters and then they also all throw themselves at him - even if they are
mother and daughter
resulting in an a very off-putting rivalry.

After reading the first three books within a week I'm taking a break from the series here. The only hope I have that this is might become a bit better again (at least in regards to the setting and the regular Wyoming characters) is the switch back to Walt's home turf. But I can't say I'm looking forward to
the romantic developement between Walt and Vic
, I hated it in the TV show and I hate it even more in the books.
