Quinn was a whole mess about Lowe. That ex was a whole drama behind Quinn, those parents were a whole mess within themselves. This was the most messy, dramatic perfect foolishness I have ever read. Kay did her thing with this one. Every page was beautiful mess not to much just enough to keep you going.

Real and Raw

Nothing about this book was fluff. Every single plot twist, paragraph, word, and syllable contributed to this combination of raw and realness. I felt like I was in therapy with these characters lol. This was my first book by the author and I’m sold!

Kay Shanee is such a great writer. I love how she tells a story, it gives you all the feels and emotions that her character is experiencing. I am new to this author and I have already ate 4 of her books within 3 weeks. Lowe deserved so much more that Jameer and she got it. The instant connection with her and Quinn was unmatched. Quinn came in and knew exactly what her wanted. When she turned and wanted to help the same person that hurt her to her core Quinn walked away. When he decided to come back home he came back to a surprise. Jumping back in head first with Lowe was what he needed but he really had some insecurities that he needed to work through and I felt like he was self sabotaging. This was a great read though and I read it in a day.

ITMTL

Two souls lost at a young age due to parental influences. I love Quinn and Harlowe together. Quinn's mother is the root of his problems and what he witnessed. Abandonment is Harlowe's biggest issue and boy did she get it bad. Unknowingly, the one person she thought would have her back and love her right, broke her more than the original culprit. Yes their journey was strained, but they indeed learned that it takes more than love to make it thru the storms of relationships

Second chance romance and a secret baby.. sign me up! I really enjoyed the story between Harlowe and Quinn. Enjoyed even more that Kay did not waste anytime getting into it. We had hunching and shooting in like the first 20 pages which I am more than okay with! ITMTL was kind of instalove but done right according to me personal taste!

Harlowe and Quinn worked all my nerves! He had too much of an attitude problem at times and she was too soft sometimes because of her guilt. It seemed like every time you blinked they were starting into it about something, and usually something small! They kept you on your toes for sure but Dr. Beemer gathered them!

I was not expecting the Letitia connection, that was a wild little monkey wrench to throw in there. I don’t know how one ever recovers from such a thing but it was definitely interesting! I like that the book ended with a little motivational moment. It felt like the story is complete so now let’s talk directly to the reader. A small detail that was really cool to me!

Overall a really enjoyable read I knocked out in a day!

Great story

This was such a good story. I enjoyed Harlowe and Quinn. But whew Chile, was Quinn needy and insecure. More power to Harlowe for putting up with him, he was a bit of a baby. I loved that the couple focused on mental health and utilized therapy. Super cute ending.
