I rarely read these Science vs Religion books because I don't think that either of them has much to say about the other. Aczel has large axes to grind against Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss. If you want a picture of the current state of the art, look here.

A really solid argument proving that science--mathematics, cosmology, geology, and other branches--most certainly does not disprove the existence of God. It's a great look at the history of science, as well. I really enjoyed Aczel's arguments and especially his refutations of Richard Dawkins.
