This was one of those random cheap/free books I picked up on Kindle and it surprised me. I am not usually one for romances but I really did enjoy this one. It's drama free, not too spicy, no miscommunication trope and no "I met you 5 minutes ago but I am suddenly so jealous/overprotective that I will kill any man if they glance at you" trope. Both characters deal with their own demons and they are pretty different and great - we meet Diana- a young nanny that comes to live with a family - she pretends to be more qualified that she is but she still gets the job- she also meets Griffin, a young earl whose grandmother is a snob and doesn't want him to ruin the family reputation - Diana also has a con mother who is now in prison and I loved that the book didn't shy away from that but Diana actually ends up having trusting issues because of that and her self esteem is low because of her mother. She also struggles to make connections because she is constantly believing that she is like her mom- the romance felt a bit rushed- especially on Griffin's part. He meets her once and knows that she is the one but other than that the book is a great easy romantic read and it reads like a rom com movie. I enjoyed it a lot and I wish that we got more from these characters because I loved reading about them.

Cinder-Nanny: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All Diana wanted to do was help her sister out, the sister who saved her. But, in order to do that, she has to lie to get a good paying job as a nanny to a wealthy couple and their young son with their high qualification expectations. It turns out having a con-woman for a mother comes in handy in cases like this, when you are absolutely not qualified or meet the necessary expectations. Lying doesn’t come easily to her and when she meets a handsome Earl, Griffin Windsor, the lies keep piling up, making it harder and harder for her to keep up the charade.

I love that this book takes its time on the romance. Diana has legitimate fears and roadblocks for her that she needs to overcome before she is ready to date Griffin. It’s not one of those meet cute, insta-love, immediately start dating scenarios. It’s a meet cute, insta-love with anxiety, secrets, and fears that are worked at in order to make the relationship possible. Seeing little Sophie and Milo become friends is seriously the cutest thing, them and their random obsessions about different things, it’s adorable. Although it’s a little outside the realm of possibility, a nanny who lied being loved enough by an Earl to make it okay, it’s still cute. And who said books need to be based in reality?

This was another fun and swoony romance, Sariah Wilson is always great for a fun, heartwarming story.
I absolutely loved how Diana & Griffin’s friendship started. I love all of the banter and flirting.
You could really feel the struggles & stress that Diana was feeling.
I absolutely adored Milo and Sophie. I love how close everyone became and the bonds that were formed.

Hallmark movie-style romance but with much better banter. I enjoyed this one!
