No idea yet where all of this is going, but what I read I liked just fine.

Glad that the characters I know were in this short story, as opposed to characters I don't know with the exception of one cameo like in The Little Android. A tragic little tale isn't it? We barely get to know Garen/Garan before he's taken by the plague. From Cinder I thought she had spent more time with him than just 2-3 weeks.

“I have a glitch, too. Sometimes I forget that I’m not human. I don’t think that happens to most androids.”

Worth a read if you're a fan of the series!

Peony is adorable, trying to make Cinder feel at home. Although her sister is barely mentioned, she seems like a spoiled brat.
The prequel isn't as amazing as the books, but it is entertaining.

So heartbreaking... And oh sweet Peony. A great origin story that sets the tone of Cinder's life.
