I want to start off by saying that this is a fantastic premise, and totally unique. I really loved the layout of the book, especially because I was gripped by story even though we know what happened from the prologue. I think that's great.

However, I was incredibly disappointed in the writing. I found it dry and dull. I think if I turned in this writing during my uni degree I would have received a C, which isn't bad, but you wouldn't think it was publishing-worthy either. There was a lot of telling and very little showing. I ended up finishing the book only because I skimmed it, otherwise I thought about DNF'ing early on.

If you’re looking for a thriller that keeps you guessing until the end. This isn’t it.

But if you want a thriller that gives you all the answers by the middle of the book, then raises just as many questions, with a strong focus on character development and different reactions to tragedy and trauma this is definitely the book for you.

I find this book hard to compare to anything I’ve read before because it’s just so different to anything else. And different in a way that really works.

Major trigger warnings needed especially for anyone that has been personally affected by domestic violence proceed with caution. I struggled with the first chapter in particular but after that I was okay.

Great audiobook. Each character having a different voice actor. Great it was shown from all the different points of views and the different perspectives.
So similar to Gabbie Petito’s case it made me angry all over again.

I hate blurbs on books that anticipate your response, and this one had “Everyone’s going to be talking about that ending”.  Yes - the end is an interesting twist.  However the book itself is even more tangled and engaging.  There is the plot-line, but it is the responses of the characters that kept me reading.  And each chapter is told by the various characters in turn - a nice device, like pulling together the pieces of a jigsaw, whilst sometimes seeing how they must come together but not knowing how they would.
