As much as I enjoyed this, the ending was lacking. It's like the way the first book ended. Otherwise I really did enjoy it

Great book that adds more to the mythology that Wellington created in the first two vampire books. I love that Laura never becomes a super-bad-ass vampire killer, she's always a regular person struggling to keep people alive. She's like John McClane in Die Hard, fighting terrorists because he's the only one available. Laura would love for someone else to do this, but she's the only one with the experience.

Laura Caxton may not be Buffy or Blade, but if I was up against Vamps I'd want her on my side.

I prefer the first book in the trilogy. Oh, James. Oh, Pennsylvania.

This one never grabbed me. Maybe it's just not my genre. I gave up.

I'm not going to write much on this one. Readable. Continuation of the series with another cliffhanger ending. Laura is falling down a dark path. I can't say I like her very much for several reasons. I'll finish the series but I am going to take a little break.

Damn it! I can't with this series. At this point, I'm rooting for the vamps.

Wellington is great at keeping his characters consistent in each book. He is also great at creating and introducing new characters. these vampire books of his always give me the creeps. like i dont want to go out at night. that doesnt last too long but i do look around to make sure no one is around. This isnt as good as the first book but its not far behind it.. so far i will recommend this entire series.

Maybe I should have started with an earlier book in the series.
