Lovely, romantic, with a hint of "National Treasure" to it. Not at all what I expected - in a good way.

Probably would have been a 4 star if it didn't feel so insta-lovely.

tbh…imo this book isn’t the worst but it’s not the best either.

I don’t know how to explain it but i feel like something was missing?

overall i personally think this is a good book, it’s an easy read, a little romance here there, and shortish chapters.

but not bad for the plot though.

I loved the mystery and the historical aspects of this book, it made it more than just your typical teen romance story.

Despite what everyone is saying, I loved this book! It was unlike anything I've ever read before. The love story with August & Calli was amazing. Yes it took off rather quickly but that's what I loved about it. It stayed true to it's star-crossed lovers theme, stories like Heloise & Abelard, Romeo & Juliet, Tristan & Isolde, is all love at first sight, and that's exactly what happened to them. They were a modern star-crossed love. The story of the book was captivating, I haven't read a good mystery/romance in a while so I really enjoyed that aspect. The one thing I would have liked to read though is more danger in the hunt for the book, as well as it being a tad longer. The book had so many levels, the love & mystery between Heloise & Abelard, the mystery of A? The truth of Calliope's mother & father, it all was interconnected well! I'm excited to read more from the author

I finished this only because it had been on my "to read" list for so long. But it was a struggle. I never fell in love with the characters, I thought their romance was ridiculous and very cliche. The mystery was a good aspect but it was handled all wrong and then left to fizzle out.

Started out good, but the last 20% was so boring that even skim reading was painful.

The book was short, cute and kind of mysterious. I like Callie and August, but they relationship was too fast, too sudden. I know true love at the first sight but still there was something too sweet and unreal.

This book was definitely not what I expected. I think it should have been longer. It was okay. If you want a light and quick read, then yeah read it but don't get your hopes up. I mean the plot and all was good but it just…I don't know. Knock yourself out. Meh. :/
