It's still fun to read about Angelique's experiences throughout the other books, but my criticism is still that these move far too slowly given that I already know a lot of what will happen. I still enjoy reading them, but they could be less than half the length and I'd still be content (or even more so).

I thought this was gonna be a trilogy...?

The first book came up on my recommended list and I thought I'd give it a shot because MAGIC :0

I was completely hooked. The second book was also okay, I guess. We got a little bit more of Everett's point of view. Which I really appreciated.

But then this book.... °-°

Um...

Nothing really happens in this one. I didn't see any type of development in the plot whatsoever. Yes, we get a couple of fight scenes which were fine......I guess. But, to be completely honest with you, those were the only things exciting. 90% of the time we get descriptions of her journey, some self-loathing, one near-death scene, some more self-loathing, and then scenes from K.M. Shea's other books told in the mc's point of view.

Pretty boring and underwhelming. Don't think I’ll be reading the next book. :/

A bit more story progressing than book 2 but really - i cannot hear the MC doubting herself anymore. Walloing in self pity and that her magic would/could make her a "monster" if she relieved it...
It really really has to stop. Could someone please beat some sense into that girl and relieve the readers from that stuff?

It was getting super annoying that after two long books, the FMC Angelique was still resolved never to touch her core magic due to her fears, even to get more practice. Plus, there wasn't really much progress made in actually defeating any black mages, finding the leaks in the guild, and figuring out where Evariste was.

I understand the need to tie it in with the fairy tale stories in the other series, but the details really dragged on.

Now free from the Council, Angelique continues to run herself ragged trying to search for Evariste and help the seemingly unending line of people who need her specifically. As she continues saving the day, she starts to realize she is less alone in the fight than when she began it. The dark forces become clearer as do friends and allies. This book is full of adventure as always and contains even more sarcasm as weariness tears through Angeligue's saccharine facade. This book has some spoilers for Timeless Fairy Tales books 4-9 as well as the first two Fairy Tale Enchantress books. It is so fun to see how K. M. Shea is able to tell Angelique's side of the Timeless Fairy Tale adventures in a unique and entertaining way that doesn't make it feel repetitive. There are new layers that Angeligue is aware of that bring new information and Angelique'c commentary is priceless. This would be an enjoyable read for those who have enjoyed the other Fairy Tale Enchantress and Timeless Fairy Tale books, slow burn clean romance, strong main and supporting characters, adventure, creative magic, sarcastic humor, epic overarching fate of the world struggle, self-sacrificial characters, tie in characters from other books, magical creatures, and  stories of a hero emerging while saving the day.

I want more!

My heart breaks for Angel and Evariste and all they’ve been through, yet there were so many delightful surprises in this book. And I loved getting to see more of my favorite characters. Elle was a riot; Clovicus was awesome; Odette, Firra, and Donnaigh were wonderful. I can’t wait for the next book!

I absolutely loved this latest installment in Angelique's story! So many unexpected moments: some touching, some funny, some heart-rending. K. M. Shea does an excellent job of making you care deeply about the characters and their suffering. This is not a series to pick up and just begin reading in the middle, but if you've read the previous books in the Fairytale Enchantress series, you definitely don't want to miss this one. (And if you haven't read the others in the series, go read them and then read this one!)

And seriously, we need to know what's up with Pegasus and the pumpkins.

So Kitty called this a doorstop of a book, and I gotta say that filled me with glee! And I was happily flying through until I realized that I only had a third of a book left, and we were not going to make it to the end of all the kingdom rescues in this one. SO I GET ANOTHER BOOK YEAH!!! But I have to wait for it, and we all know how patient I am. But another book with Angel's wonderful, sarcastic POV is a marvelous thing!
The most impressive part of this story is keeping the story lines perfectly matched. If I was writing this I would have dissolved into a puddle of stress trying to make sure that the accounts match without it feeling tired. Angel's perspective of events and the little side adventures when she is alone make all of this still feel exciting even though I've read the accounts of the people she has saved. I gotta say that I wish Kitty would write more people to save so we can draw this out because I think I'm going to be really upset when this adventure finally comes to a conclusion (that better be happily ever after because I might be crushed forever if its not). I think we need a Baris story! :) This was another wonderful story!
