I am not a fan of her “between the novel books” I am happy that they are so short. I feel compelled to read them simply because I enjoy this series and feel like I need to read them all

This is a between the numbers book and just as funny, light and easy as the "regular" Stephanie Plum series! Honestly, there is always a legitimate laugh out loud moment for me in every one of these books. The only major difference in the between the numbers books, is the male lead character is Diesel, an "Unmentionable," who is human, but who has some supernatural powers. Also, these books always revolve around a holiday and in this case, it's almost Valentine's Day. Stephanie and Diesel are on the hunt for Bernie, another "Unmentionable" who's in a rage because his wife has asked for a divorce. Bernie is causing havoc on other people and it's up to Diesel to shut him down.

I love Diesel--he's so funny. Although Stephanie most certainly doesn't need another man in her life, he's ok if he just pops in now and then. I also love the little glimpse we get of Tank and Lula...call me crazy, but that was sweet!

These are fun interludes and I enjoyed the set up of this one and the extra characters. Great audio books for easy listening and fun laughs.

so far i'm not much of a fan of evanovich's between-the-numbers short novels, but as a fan of early plum mysteries i have a compulsive need to hear them all.
