Was für ein beeindruckendes Buch. Borchert schafft es wie kein zweiter den alltäglichen Schrecken des Krieges und der Nachkriegszeit festzuhalten. Eines der - auch stilistisch - schönsten Bücher, die ich jemals gelesen habe. Vergleichbar mit der Genialität eines Max Frisch in Andorra.

One of my favorite german classics. It is so emotional and beautifully reflects the humanity.
