Listened to this as an audiobook and oh my gosh I think this was better than the first one.

My new favorite character was introduced in this book as well. Avasarala is a scrappy, older woman with so many hilarious quotes. I can only hope to be half as amazing as her when I'm her age.

Not as good as the first one in series. Kinda boring. Miller is missing as counterpart to Holdens idealistic/wholesome character. No character development and Prax is just a variation on Holden. Story is ok but dialogue and characters are not very well written. Avasarala is not interesting - or imposing - as she is in  in the TV series. Shows what a good actor - and well used wardrobe can do.
Interesting to see the different choices the TV show takes compared to books, but think I will just stick to the TV series from now on.

Action goes up a notch from the first novel, and the scope of the action broadens.

Instant classic. Memorable characters you give a shit about. Plenty of pew-pew. Perfect space opera.

This Damn series is amazing! I love the political intrigue in this and I love how fast paced and sinister this book is. Loved the new characters and the dynamic they brought to the story. Was happy to be back with the main gang from book one, whom I adore. I’m just overall pumped that this series has so much great science and potential throughout! It keeps me on the edge of my seat and takes me on a wild new ride in each book. Loved it!
